France in August – just how busy was it?

September16

Just how busy France would be in July/August was our main concern before we left home. But, we had no problems whatsoever finding places to stay with the motorvan. Being flexible and staying at aires, municipal campsites and France Passions helped a lot, we think. The busiest places were the hotspots of the Dordogne and the obvious Atlantic coastal resorts. France is a big country and swallows everyone up nicely. Once again, we were welcomed everywhere with the dogs. It took us forever to take the dogs for walks because everyone wanted to say hello to them and talk to us about greyhounds. They were proper little celebrities.

We had a great holiday, had great weather and managed to stay where we wanted when we wanted. Life abroad with the dogs was once again easy and pleasurable. Perfect.

Will we be going again next August?

Oh yes!
