Real life experience of travel with dogs and Pet Passports in France

Caravan becomes Hymer motorvan

September15

We made the decision to swap our caravan for a motorhome, something we’d been thinking of for a while. So, into our bank account came a small sum for our old but trusty caravan and out of the account went a whole lot bigger sum for an A class Hymer B544 motorvan (ironically exactly the same age as our caravan!). The hydraulic bed pulled down over the cab at night would hopefully give us sleeping space where the dogs couldn’t jump on in the middle of the night (although one has figured it out already)! France in particular, we were given to understand by the many forums on motorvanning abroad, caters well for ‘le camping car’ through its system of aires.
